About the Helen Roy Opera and Music Theatre Showcase The showcase was formed in September 2004 and has given numerous successful public performances, the last one receiving sponsorship from a professional music society. The showcase is now preparing for two production performances of Xerxes. The purpose behind the showcase is to provide an opportunity for singers to meet every Saturday during term times and work technically and musically on their repertoire in the company of other singers. Most of the singers have work coming up or are preparing for auditions. The showcase is a self supporting non profit making venture. Now that it is growing in stature all the time, seeking sponsorship will be a priority for future events. The showcase encompasses both Opera and classical Musical Theatre repertoire, and meet every Saturday during term times from 1 till 6pm. At the St. Cyprians church near Baker street tube.
